School Wedding!!!

Kara is with her father this weekend (miss you baby.....) and I have a wedding to go to. A friend from school is getting married and I will be catching up with a Primary School friend I haven't seen in years (she's been overseas). It will be sooooo much fun ~ I'll try to post pics tonight but I still don't have my camera back ~ I have my dodgy camera and Tanya left me hers last night.....fingers crossed I get one nice pic!

The Man in our Lives.....

Isn't he gorgeous?!!!!

Evan is Kara's bestie and if she gets her own way, he will marry her in 20 odd years LOL. She adores him, as do I.

When Kara was born, I was lucky enough to be told about 'Mother's Group'. It was the BEST thing I did!!!!! We are still in touch with all of the mums and bubs and it's a support system that is simply invaluable. From Mum's Group, I met Tanya and Evan ~ 2 people I hope to know for ever (poor Tanya LOL).

The other day, Evan and Kara were playing dressups and I took this pic ~ I was surprised it was even visible, as my (baby) camera is getting repaired, so I dragged out the most ancient digital camera you could imagine LOL. I just loooove this photo. I'm sure Evan will in a few years too ~ NOT!!!!!!!

The past 4 years would have been so much harder without you guys and Tanya, I am so grateful to have you as a friend.

What do you do on the first cold night in ages???

Go to the beach LOL.

I had promised Kara I would take her to the beach last night and as they day went on, it got colder and colder...... I can never break a promise I make to my angel though!!!

So, we rugged up (Kara in the coat that she loves because it was from Aunty Rachael!!!) and set off. When we got there, there was hardly any sand, as the tide was in LOL. We found a safe area and Kara had a ball!! She built castles but dodged the camera like a pro (grrrr) but I am really happy with the 2 pics of her below.

When we left, Kara thought it was hilarious that the wave almost got us and her sand castles (this is being dictated to me as I type LOL). She thought that if the water got us, I would save her and let the shark eat me instead~she was right!!!!! (and she is laughing right now because I let her tell me what to type!!)

The past couple of weeks!!!!!

Have been soooooo busy ~ some good some bad.

The good included a visit from Rachael and Sage! They were down for almost a week from Melbourne and it went too quickly. It was a bit of a rushed week but we got to spend a lot of time together which was realllllly nice. The girls hugged a lot LOL and once again, lip gloss got a beating......We took them into an indoor playground which they both loved ~ Sage more so and it ended with me climbing into the ballpit to get her out. It was quite a scene LOL ~ she grabbed onto the net and she's a strong little bugger!!!!! I finally detatched her from the net, so she went for my hair. Rachael loved every minute of it, snapping away in the background!!!!!

The Forum......

Is chugging along nicely!!!! It's been sooo great meeting new people (some from OS!) and chatting with those I've known for years (except you Eden :P). There was a little excitement the other night with somebody accessing the forum via another's account ~ some people just can't let go, hey G???!!!!! The hypocracy continues!

OHHHHHH it must be the week for hijacking people's sites!!!! Apparenltly, somebody (wonder who.....NOT ~ IPs are a GREAT thing!) tried numerous times to access her account and Eden was notified. Fortunately, her password was too hard for the cow involved!!!!

Some of the Bad.....

Our puppy, Charlotte, has been realllllly sick :( We still have no idea why ~ the vets are guessing just a really nasty virus. She was in puppy hospital for 2 days and the service was AMAZING. I have been called about 6 times by 2 of the vets, checking to see how she is. I highly recommend Colonel Light Vetinery Services!!!!!

Today.......

I've been a bit flat with nausea for a couple of days ~ all the running around I think. I'm OK again atm, so fingers crossed.

Kara and I have thought a lot about Ava today. We think about her daily, but some days she is present throughout the day more than others. Kara, before heading to kindy, added some pink flowers to Ava's gardenia. It's the most cared for plant we have ever owned!! Then, tonight, Kara asked if I was thinking about Ava and I said ... "yes, I am". She replied with this....

"Mummy ~ you have 2 choices. You can think about Ava and her Mummy and be sad or you can focus on the fun we had with our pink plastic and pine cones". I have one very special little girl.

Kindy......

When we arrived at kindy, there was some acrobatics happening LOL. Kara loooooves it, so I had to share some pics!!!!

Cinderella.......

Kara has always been very good at drawing ~ I need to drag out her earliest creations!!!!
She drew Cinderella today and I think it's great for a 4 year old......the thing on the top is her bow LOL and the 2 small things either side are Jaq and Gus (the mice!)!!!!

My Girl at the Beach....

Kara LOVES the beach :)

Tonight, we went with the intention of walking Charlotte, Kara's puppy, and had plans to go tomorrow as the weather forecast is 37!! Welllll, as usual, Kara ended up stripping off and in the water ~ she just loves it and I can't say no.

Our Melbourne Trip.....

As time goes by, the distance between my sister and her family seems to get further and further. As all of the kids grow into little people (and adults.....), it just seems so wrong that they can't be together more than they are. Despite that, all of them share such a strong bond and it is just so special to witness.

Sage and Kara love and annoy the crap out of eachother all at once!!! They are both such little girls ~ say the words 'lip gloss' or 'dress ups' and they are at your feet withing seconds. We got to spend a lot of time with Sage this trip ~ we took the girls to the botanic gardens and got some divine photos ~ despite them running in different directions 99% of the time!!!

Me and Sage....

Rachael and Sage.....

I met my nephew's (Ricky) girlfriend this trip ~ her name is Jasmine and she and her family are lovely. We went out for Jasmine's 15th birthday and Kara showed the whole night just how much she loves her big cousin ~ she always has Ricka!!! I am so proud of Ricky. He is such a sensible and (mostly!!!) responsible young man...... my sister and Paul should be very very proud.

Ricky and Kara.....

Kara and Zak got along soooooooooooooo well this trip!!!! There was not ONE arguement, no dobbing and just great playing for a whole week!!!!! I wish they were closer.....

Jaye is the child that every parent wants ~ loving, caring and just a divine natured child.
