Happy and Sad

That's exactly how I feel today. So so very happy that my angel has started school because she is more than ready but also sad that she is ready!!!! It's very strange. She looked all grown up today and settled in straight away. I'm just oh so proud of her and glad that she stayed home last night ~ she woke up this morning and said "Thanks so much Mummy for letting me stay at my home last night". Any punishment I get will be worth that.

I love you baby girl. So so much. xxxxx

Vanessa,

I stumbled onto your blog thru Sheye's and have become an avid reader.
I just want to get your ex and shake him until his teeth rattle. What kind of person could even think of taking your baby off you the night before she begins school? She needed to know you were there for her then more than ever.

Good for you keeping her with you that night, it makes me so angry I feel it in my stomach reading about Kara having to go to her Dad's when she doesn't really want to. What a lucky little girl to have you as a Mum.

I hope she's loving school, when my son started prep (he's going into grade 2 this year) He enjoyed it but said after 2 days "well I've done school"and thought that was it, time to stay home with Mum again.

What a doll! Wish I could pull that outfit off so well. Firsts are always so hard. It is amazing to think they are old enough to be embarking on more independent adventures. Thank you for your support of my family as we endure this battle with my mom's cancer. The bits and pieces of support from so many people add up to a huge mountain of care and concern that get us through the darkest days. Thanks again!

I came to see photos of Kara on her first day of school. She looks very happy, grown up and confident. The uniform does nothing for your beautiful girl lol, but she's still gorgeous! Have fun Kara!

Hi from Finland

I've just read your blog from start to finish today. Kara is so beautiful and you're a great mum to her. Too bad her father seems to be a self centered ass. Do you know if he reads this? I will definitely be back to read more. Love the photos, and the fact that that there are so many of them. Hope you post again soon! :)
